Common Questions
Our coaching follows a simple 4 step process: Strategy Call → Resume and Story → Networking and Interview Prep → Superdays, Offers and Pre Desk. Click below to see the full breakdown on our homepage.
We start with a free Strategy Call to look at your background, GPA, and recruiting timeline. After that, you work one on one with a dedicated coach on your resume, networking, behavioral stories, and technical prep.
Large coaching platforms charge more to pay for sales teams and video libraries. We keep things small and focus only on direct, one on one coaching, so you don't pay for that extra overhead.
The free Strategy Call is an honest, one on one look at where you stand. We go over your school, the banks and groups you're targeting, your technical level, and your timeline, then lay out a clear plan before you commit to anything.
Yes. Parents are welcome to join the first call with their student and ask any questions about the process, the timeline, and what to expect.
Yes. A 3.5+ GPA makes screening easier, but it is not a dealbreaker. For students with lower GPAs, we lead with the strongest parts of the resume, build relationships with bankers so you aren't relying only on online applications, and make sure your technical answers are sharp in interviews.
No honest program can guarantee a job offer, since the final decision is always the bank's. That said, many of our placements come from non target schools. We give you the networking plan, outreach strategy, and technical prep you need to compete with target school candidates.
Yes. We adjust our coaching to where you are, whether that's undergraduate recruiting, a Master's in Finance program, MBA associate recruiting, or a move into banking from corporate finance or Big 4 valuation.
There's no fixed class schedule. Your coaching follows your own recruiting calendar. Some students work with us for 4 to 6 weeks before Superdays, while others work with us through a full 12+ month recruiting cycle.
Yes. We work with students globally targeting investment banking roles in major financial hubs, including New York, London, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, and Hong Kong. Sessions and communication are conducted remotely to fit your time zone.
Recruiting keeps moving earlier, so starting freshman year or early sophomore year gives you the biggest advantage. We also work with late starters, transfer students, and incoming juniors on a faster timeline.
Instead of memorizing guides, we focus on understanding how things actually work. You will learn to walk through 3 statement accounting, accretion/dilution, and LBOs out loud, the same way interviewers will test you.
Bulge brackets (e.g., Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan) are full service global institutions handling capital markets, debt, and advisory. Elite boutiques (e.g., Evercore, PJT, Moelis, Lazard) specialize almost exclusively in high value M&A and restructuring, offering lean deal team exposure and top market pay.
Product groups (M&A, LevFin, Restructuring) execute specific deal types across various industries. Industry groups (TMT, Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials) cover specific sectors, driving pitch work and client relationship management.
IB Prep covers the full recruiting process: networking, resumes, behavioral, and technical interview prep. Series 79 tutoring focuses purely on passing the FINRA licensing exam after landing your offer. They are separate services for different stages of your career.
Our work doesn't stop when you accept an offer. We help you get ready for your first day, build your modeling speed so you can perform well as an analyst, and start preparing early for private equity recruiting.
